(by Sarah)
This is the mo-cap animation for my final project of COSC 3p98 course. All the 3D object in the animation is my personal work, including modeling, UV, texture, lighting, rigging, mo-cap data clean-up, mo-cap director, n-cloth dynamic system, motion builder post animation. Thanks for Tobias from Morro image and N-Gen allow me to use the mo-cap system to do this project, and help me a lot to solve the technique problem. And thanks to Sarah to be my mo-cap dancing actor, without her highly quality performance, this project won't be done. The music source is from Chinese Traditional music "爱莲说". And the dance I chosen is from South part traditional dance. I bored and grew up in South of China, that is the reason I choose this style of dancing and music. The 2d character concept art is from my friend JiaHui Jiang. The concept art design is also base on the traditional South China dancing dressing 100 years ago. The n-cloth dynamic system is still under process, in the concept art, the 3D model is dressing skirt, but it is too difficult for me to do the skirt n-cloth system for 1:37 mo-cap motion, so I changed it into trouser s, so it looks like a little mass right now, but it will be fixed later, the final version will be upload on Youtude at the end of May.
